For quick and immediate assistance with medications speak with your primary care provider. Primary care providers can prescribe some of the common mental health medications. This is only recommended as a first resort if you cannot see a psychiatrist immediately. It is best to continue treatment with a psychiatrist to ensure you are on the best medication that fits your individual needs. They can monitor the effects and make changes as needed.
